The T.W. Hager Lumber Company was founded in 1928 as a wholesale lumber brokerage business. Today the company provides lumber and wood products to OEM customers on a just-in-time (JIT) basis, setting industry standards for quality products and service. The company established the distribution business in 1951 to provide an alternative for retail lumber yards and home centers faced with buying full rail car loads from major lumber mills. Today, the company distributes a variety of commodity lumber and building material products-including roofing, siding, insulation, decking and engineered wood products. Hager operates a wood preserving facility to meet the demand for treated lumber products with a comprehensive program that incorporates environmental responsibility with tight process controls. The company provides a wide range of products that include dimension lumber, plywood, foundation material and fire retardant lumber.
